Ian Thorpe assures that his level of performance is not the same than a few years ago

Ian Thorpe. Australian Olympic champion swimmer Ian Thorpe is preparing his return to high competition with the objective of participating in next 2012 London Olympic Games.

The famous swimmer will reinitiate his sport career this week in Singapore after more than four years away from the pools.

Thorpe has said to his followers that they should not expect that he will be able to compete at the same level than four years ago as it takes its time to recover the fitness while assuring that his main objective are the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Last week Thorpe returned to high competition after participating in a competition in Singapore swimming 100 meters butterfly and 100 meters styles.
