Customer skills. A new study claims that almost 70% of customers do not return to a store where they had a bad experience with the owners or sales assistants. In other word, a lack of customer skills can cause loss of money and clients.
The research also reveals that the top four mistakes committed by a seller and which cause customers to abandon purchases are the following:
1. The seller shows a moody personality when dealing with a customer or when a client enters in the shop.
2. The seller shows indifference or treats customers in a cold manner, asking them to wait or treating them in a rude manner.
3. The seller does not listen to customers and argues with them instead of offering solutions and keeping calm.
4. The seller turns responsibility for mistakes over a third person or situation. In this case, the customer is expecting an apology instead of listening to a series of excuses.
