Common bee in extinction.- The British honey bee, once one of the most common species of bees in the United Kingdom, is nowadays on the edge of extinction.

This spectacular change has taken place during the last decades and it is linked to climate change and an excessive use of pesticides.

These are the results of a scientific study that under the title of “The Decline of Bees in England” has been taken on board by a group of researchers from the University of Reading in England in collaboration with researchers from the organisation “Friends of the Earth”.

The report has revealed that the honey bee is already extinct in most areas while the number of bees kept in captivity has decreased in more than 50% in the last 25 years.
