Wooden apartments.- The Norwegian region of Bergen is planning the building of a 14-floor wooden apartment block overlooking the worldwide famous Norway’s fjords.

The project has been taken on board in an attempt to encourage the wooden industry in the Scandinavian country while stimulating the use of sustainable energies.

The news was published a few days ago by the Norwegian Agriculture Ministry. The planning of the building includes an indoor patio, garden and a rooftop terrace and the apartments will be available for sale at the beginning of the year 2014.

The Norwegian authorities expect that this will be the first building of many to be constructed with the objective of keeping balance between development and environment.
