Parachute jump.- A 90-year old man has decided to celebrate the entrance to his nineties jumping in parachute. Lester Slate, from the state of Maine in the United States, is a World War II veteran who, in spite of serving as a pilot in the United States Navy during the war never had the chance of jumping from a plane.
Now, almost 70 years later Mr. Slate decided to make his dream come true and enjoyed his first jump at the Pittsfield Airport in the presence of dozens of friends and relatives.
Once on land, Mr. Slate declared that he really enjoyed the experience and hopes to be able to repeat it when turning 95.
