Melonoma.- Most of cases of melanoma are caused by an excess of exposure to the rays of the sun. However, there is a genetic factor that also has a say in the development of this type of skin cancer.
The melanoma is the most common type of skin cancer in the so-called industrialised world but it could be cured in 85% of cases when early diagnosed.
Now, a new test developed by the laboratories Genomic Genetics has reached the market. The test is able to predict the development of a melanoma, a cancer that is diagnosed to more than 160,000 people around the world on an annual basis, with a reliability rate of around 95%.
