Iker Casillas.- The famous French magazine specialised in sport, France Football, has assured in an article published a couple of days ago that the famous Balon d’Or should be given to the goalkeeper of the Spanish National Team, Iker Casillas.

The magazine assures that Casillas, who also is the goalkeeper at the Real Madrid, has been able to keep himself at the highest level of international football for many years and that his performances have saved the Spanish National Teams for receiving goals.

The magazine affirms that, additionally, Casillas is a player capable of transmitting calm to the rest of the team being one of the best players in last European Football Championship which finalized with his team winning the third major consecutive tournament.

France Football emphasises the fact that the Spanish National Team only received one goal during the entire championship and that Casillas broke a world record by accumulating 100 victories with a National Team.

However, it is not going to be an easy task as never before a goalkeeper has received this award.
