The London Olympic Committee auctions the Olympic torches

Olympic torches.- On its way to the capital of Britain the Olympic torch, that will reach London next 26th of July, is being carried by air, land and water by 13.000 selected people that will cross the map of the United Kingdom maintaining the Olympic flame on. The torch has been replaced by similar ones on its way to London and now the first torches used in the route to the capital are being sold via Internet on the official website of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).

Once the route of the torch is completed, next 27th of July when it enters the Olympic Stadium of Stratford in East London to participate in the opening ceremony of the games, all the torches will be available for auction.

So far, the first of the torches, signed by footballer David Beckham, is offered in an auction which is now reaching the amount of 2,000 Euros and which will close next 4th of July.
