Beyonce.- American singer Beyonce has performed at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York during the celebrations of the World Humanitarian Day.
The former leader of Destiny’s Child, sang her 2011 hit “I Was Here” in front of a large audience that included a great number of figures from the world of international politics and culture.
The performance of Beyonce will be the base for the creation of a video that will accompany a global campaign to encourage people to help and collaborate with each other, especially with those in need.
In the year 2008, the General Assembly of the United Nations declared 19 August World Humanitarian Day to mark the killing of 22 people on the United Nations offices in Baghdad in 2003.
