Post-holiday stress.- A study conducted in Spain reveals that around 35% of the population suffers some kind of stress facing the dreadful moment of returning to the work place after some days off. However, this level of stress could be higher between the ages of 25 and 40 or if the person lives in a big city, holds a position of responsibility or has a job he or she dislikes.

Stress is a very powerful force in a person´s life being able to affect the body´s physiology while producing or accelerating a series of illness such as epilepsy, anxiety, migraines or insomnia.

In order to avoid this post-holiday “trauma” is highly recommendable to return from holidays one or two days earlier with the purpose of returning to daily routine; dividing up the holidays into several periods. However, the best possible advice is to focus the situation with optimism and sense of humor.
